The Spike
Taken in the evening immediately after our arrival in Qeqertarsuaq on Disko Island. The small village, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, is my absolute favorite place in Greenland. There's not much more than a supermarket and a bar. And a sauna on the beach. Enough to switch off for a week and enjoy nature.
While many icebergs only stayed on the coast for a day or two, this pointed iceberg stayed on our doorstep (or hostel door) the whole week. At the end we were even allowed to watch it break into its individual pieces. This moment was almost a bit... sad?
